"All architecture is shelter, all great architecture is the design of space that contains, cuddles, exauls, or stimulates the persons in that space."

Sacramento Sherriff’s K9 Event

On Sunday, Jeff and I participated in the Sacramento Sherriff’s K9 Unit 1 mile with your dog walk. The proceeds for the event this year are going to the cancer treatment of retired K9 Kaleo. Thus far, his tumor has been removed, he has undergone radiation therapy and all subsequent cancer tests have come back negative. We had a great time and it was a great social environment for Daisy, who just loved being around all the other dogs. It was a wonderful event and the first annual. We look forward to participating next year.

I'd Rather Be Bowling

Jason's form might not be perfect but all the strikes don't lie
Brian with the "pro" stride
Anda perfecting the slide technique
Those neon shoes would be Paul
Brian, Jason, Jessica, Anda, Brian, and Ashley

Used shoes, stale nachos, dollar hot dogs and empty beer glasses...that's right, we went bowling. Jason definitely stole the show for the first game. He was quoted as saying "I haven't bowled in 6 years"...and then proceeded to bowl more strikes than the rest of the group combined. Anda surprised herself with how well she did, Jessica didn't surprise herself with how bad she was (just like she remembered). Paul almost fell on his face and Regina even came out of a 12 year retirement to bowl a game. Thanks to everyone who came out to have a little fun and enjoy half day Friday.

Jack's new ride

I rode my MTB (mountain bike for those in the know) to work this morning. A Roseville motorcycle cop was shooting radar on the upslope run just before our W+P driveway so I hammered down to see if I could get a speeding ticket on a bike. Fat chance, the speed limit is 40 or 45mph, but he was cool enough to turn on his loud speaker and say “Clocked you at 24mph…good job”. Just proves that the guys in blue like to have a little fun too.

Twins?

John (right) took First place in the Greg Tonello look-a-like contest last Friday. Funny thing is they had to go to a meeting together later in the day...and probably hear for the 100th time "did you guys plan that."
